Program Description

This 8-week program is for runners with hip or glute pain caused by injuries such as hip bursitis, glute tendinopathy or piriformis syndrome, or pain caused by muscle weakness or imbalance.

The program focuses on fixing the root cause of hip pain by strengthening the glutes, core, and key leg muscles, as well as improving muscle symmetry and single-leg balance. 

With the program, you’ll get a structured series of strengthening exercises and stretches – a total of over 100 exercises you can do at home, each one featuring a detailed video tutorial and written description.

There are 4 workouts every week, each one taking 20-25 minutes to complete. It is designed to be done at home and you won’t need any gym equipment. Finally, you can get a complete, comprehensive physiotherapy rehab program that you can do on your own, in your own time, at home.

The program is designed by Alina Kennedy, a physiotherapist and running specialist, and follows the same treatment schedule she prescribes for her patients in the clinic.

Prerequisites 

To begin this program, you must:

Have had a thorough assessment performed by a doctor or physiotherapist

Have clearance from your doctor or physio to begin exercise rehab

Have no recent hip surgeries or traumatic injuries (such as car accidents or falls)

Have no persistent pins & needles or numbness

Have no complications or other significant injuries that could affect your ability to exercise safely at home
